Workers’ compensation attorneys Tim Benedetto and Greg Hubachek will lead sessions for other workers’ comp lawyers in a continuing legal education conference produced by the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) in November 2021.
Greg and Tim are both members of the Workers’ Compensation, LLC, legal team. The firm has helped over 10,000 people in Louisiana secure over $300 million in settlements.
Tim will discuss medical treatment guidelines under Louisiana workers’ comp. Tim is a New Orleans native whose previous work as a sergeant at arms for the Louisiana State Senate first introduced him to how the workers’ comp system works in the state.
Greg will discuss hybrid cases involving both workers’ comp claims and personal injury claims, along with the subrogration process for when one party, such as a health insurance company, has a claim to be reimbursed for expenses by another party, such as a workers’ comp insurance company.
Greg is a co-founder of Workers’ Compensation, LLC, who has over 30 years of experienced in workers’ comp law.
Participating in the LSBA conference, which is titled “A Closer Look at Workers’ Comp,” is another way for our firm to share years of collected knowledge on workers’ compensation benefits in Louisiana.
Our workers’ comp lawyers combined have over 130 years of experience helping Louisiana workers.
The LSBA’s description of the conference says, “Workers’ comp is a form of insurance providing wage replacement and medical benefits to employees injured in the course of employment in exchange for mandatory relinquishment of the employee’s right to sue their employer for negligence. But there’s more to it than that!”
It’s true that the concept of workers’ comp is simple, but the system for awarding benefits can get complicated.
Many things can go wrong with a workers’ compensation claim, which is why injured workers can benefit from having an experienced workers’ comp lawyer supporting them in the process.
The conference takes place Nov. 2, 2021, at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel, 7000 Bluebonnet Boulevard.
